14/01/2021 - Spring Term Important Information

Please check your emails for the important information for this term. Please take note of the information about the census, we are required to ask whether your son/daughter wants to continue in Scouts as we don't want to charge you membership fees if they don't want to continue!

05/09/2020 - 2nd Barnet Autumn Term

Please see email sent on 05/09/2020 with regards to Scouting this term. A very brief summary is as follows:

- Online virtual meetings until earliest November - see email for joining details

- Possibly an outdoor face-to-face meeting in December subject to formal risk assessment being approved

- Scout Hut almost finished but still a month's worth of work to do on it once it has been signed off

- Please submit your entries for the badge design competitions by email, on the website or by post by the end of September

- Lots of updates to the website over the summer - check it out!

- First virtual meeting back will be some fun icebreakers, especially as we've got some new Scouts joining us!

- Possible 'open evening' at the Scout Hut this term so that you can all see the work that has been completed up there

- Appeal for Executive Committee members, especially a treasurer!

16/03/2020 - COVID-19 Update

Scouting has been suspended for the foreseeable future due to the current COVID crisis. We will update you in due course as to what actions the Scout Association and us at 2nd Barnet are taking. All updates will come out via OSM so please make sure that your details are up to date and that we have a current email address.

Please have a look at the environmental presentations below that the Scouts created whilst on our Troop Camp at Danemead. They were set the task of exploring the site whilst photographing some of the wildlife that they come across and thinking of some ways that we can help the environment.
